Dr. Simon Maurer
Simon Maurer received his first degree in 2008 as Dipl. Ing. (FH)
Electronic Engineering at the École d'ingénieurs et d'architectes de
Fribourg in 2008. He proceeded to work for four years in industry as
software developer. To broaden his experience in Computer Science he
enrolled in a Master Degree on Embedded Systems Design at the
Università della Svizzera italiana and graduated in 2014. He then moved
to England do a PHD in Computer Science at the University of
Hertfordshire. He successfully finished his studies by the end of 2017
and moved back to Switzerland where he joined the TPF in January 2018.
As a member of the TPF he successfully completed projects on vastly
different topics and technologies (e.g. web applications, Windows
applications, implementation of mathematical algorithms, interfacing
hardware devices, and more).
